So on the 28thDec08, about 5am+

we were already at the airport.

while shops were still closed.

after 2 hours flight, we reached Siem Reap airport.

nice airport.

way better than tassie.

i think this is at the first stop..

while they were boiling the thing to get the strings

its very hot and dusty there.

everyday after lunch, we went back to the hotel to rest. until lyk 3pm..

but the girls went to the old market

we were in a tuktuk.

fun ride!

and we bought some stuff.

then we went to a craft place..

nothing much...

2nd day,

is the busiest and most tiring day..

Angkor Wat and other temples.

the hotel was like a house. only 3-4 floors.

the tree looked golden...unglam moment.

i wanted to do the next image pose.

but was at the wrong angle.. therefore i laughed.

not angkor wat btw...

with the family and 2 aunts.

still nt angkor wat. it was in the area.. but its some other temples.

the place is filled with these kinda stone structures.

everytime we see another one, we'd ask, is this angkor wat??

this rm is where u wish for good health..

rest urself on the wall, then hit your chest..

if there's echo, u'll hav gd health..

exit.

the place is nicer than angkor wat frm near...

still. not angkor wat.

the kids climbed this...

its quite scary...

there's another space above where we were standing..

only the 2nd sis dared to go up.. its not easy to come dwn frm the climb..

riser was lyk 30cm.

tread was lyk 8cm.

so we just posed there.

then we had coconut.. not v nice.. not cold.

finally...
angkor wat.

it was damn hot.

somewhere on top of angkor wat.

while the mom and aunties stays downstairs.

at the library of angkor wat.

last spot of the day...

we walked up for 20min up a hill

to watch sunset that we didnt see.

sun setting.
the stairs we had to climb up and down. not easy.

had to go on both hands and knees.

but the monks went up and down like normal stairs-.-

then we had buffet dinner..

this is a banana. their dessert..

quite tough but alrite..

banana wraped in glutinous rice.. and jelly with coconut milk..

early in the morning..

left the hotel to take public bus towards phnom penh,the bigger city...

tt is their food...

the fried and eadible one...

monument for winning a war..

then we went to the king's palace and office..

and then we went to a 'hill'...

casino..

aft dinner, we walked to a nearby shopping ctr..

but there's nothing much..

so we walked back and bought some birds..

delicious!

the 2nd last day,

we went to war memorials.

creepy place..

it used to b a school..

it ended up being a killing place..

prison cells and torture chamber..

then we went to the markets..

before and after lunch..

this s the 2nd market..

it smells good.

but we din eat..

freaky food.

we only dared to eat the normal food.
